I have to admit that at first, this video of people living in and off of an old landfill in Ecuador might make some of us luckier folks cringe.  But you will feel like a wuss compared to them when you see the musical instruments they made, and how well they sound and play. BAM. No excuses. 

Use your imagination as far as it can take you and be AWESOME!

Chances are, today you fully appreciate everything you have in your life.  Come to think about it, our generation has more resources and access to resources than any other generation.

FIVE MINUTES TO AWESOMENESS WITH A LATEX BALLOON AND A TEA LIGHT

Okay well you have to let it freeze, but crafting doesn't get any more simple + awesomer than THIS:

Quick! Go freeze some water balloons and impress everybody at Christmas with you ninja-like, ice craftiness. The trick is to not fill them all way. That way there's a indentation, cave-like spot to set the tea light.

I'm a total sucker when genre's get mixed up. I'm sure if I sat long enough, I could pull up a bunch of examples out of my mental "file cabinet." But instead, I'll just show you THIS video and you'll get it.

Whose This Guy?

I'll try to keep it short, but that fly old geezer on my blog header up above is Karl Lagerfeld (wikipedia him right here), and this guy is AWESOME. I mean one look above and you don't need me to tell you that...this famous fashion designer (have you heard of Chanel? Fendi?) apparently does whatever the HECK he wants. He's eccentric, controversial, and pretty much an overall fashionable bad ass, no matter what you think about him. I wonder if he's somebody's grampa? Wouldn't that be a trip?!

Lastly, this epic photo was taken by my photographer friend Walter Grio. I met Walter around 2006 when he was getting into photography. He loves fashion and he is a total philanthropist; so he created Shoot For Change....he'd shoot concept fashion shoots for clients and donate 100% of the cost to the charity of the client's choice.  How AWESOME is that?

Now, Walter is in Washington DC, has a BAD ASS Fashion Photography Blog called Fashiontographer with a zillion followers and has PHOTOGRAPHED FASHION WEEK IN PARIS. And probably New York Fashion Week. And now, Shoot For Change money goes to sponsor ballet chicks get into the prestigious American Ballet Theater School.

Who Says What's Awesome? A Dreamy Idealist, That's Who!

'Cause I love stuff that's Awesome. And inventions that are RAD.  And ideas that are BITCHIN.

And I wanted one place where I could put them all to show you. I'm totally stoked! Let's GO!

One Thing You Should Know......I love researching different  personality tests. Here's my latest favorite, Ipersonic.  It's format is completely different than other personality tests.  Instead of having to answer 50 questions on a sliding scale of 0-5 ("Strongly Agree, Strongly Disagree, blah blah blah), I only had to look at two lists of statements, and decide which list sounded more like me. Repeat five times and voila...I was revealed as a "Dreamy Idealist"

Of course, I had a bunch of my friends take it. Reliable Realists, Independent Thinkers, Harmony Seeking Idealists...and I loved how accurate the description of each fit my friends and family. Plus, the close up of that woman on the homepage has the most bitchin' freckly face ever.
